Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Citeon is provided by Ferrarix di Patrizia Rossi, a sole proprietorship (ditta individuale) registered in Italy, Via della Stazione 13, 04015 Priverno (LT), Italy, VAT (P.IVA) IT03365170590 (“Citeon”, “we”, “us”). Our team works from The Hague, the Netherlands. Contact: hello@citeon.ai.

2. For businesses only

Citeon is sold only to businesses and professionals, for use in their trade or profession. By creating an account or starting a subscription you confirm that you act for a business, and that you may bind it to these terms. Citeon is not offered to consumers. If you are acting for yourself as a private person, please do not sign up.

3. What Citeon does

Citeon asks AI assistants the questions your buyers ask, records what they answer about your business and your competitors, audits your website for how AI systems read it, and suggests or prepares fixes and content. What each plan includes is shown on the pricing page when you buy. The free audit is a one-off report and needs no account.

Citeon includes Google Maps features and content: the Reputation page shows business ratings and review counts read from Google Maps when the page opens. Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then current versions of the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Your account

• Give accurate details and keep your password safe. Activity in your account is your responsibility.
• Only add websites and businesses you are allowed to act for.
• The account owner manages billing and can invite team members, who must follow these terms too.

5. Plans, trial and payment (art. 1341 c.c.)

• Prices are in euro, shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• Subscriptions are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically for the same period until you cancel.
• Trial: monthly plans start with a 14-day free trial. You enter a card at checkout. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your card is charged automatically. Yearly plans have no trial.
• Discount codes apply only as described in the offer, for example to a first yearly invoice.
• If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If the subscription ends unpaid, your plan and its scheduled scans stop.
• We may change prices for future periods. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

6. Cancelling, and no refunds (art. 1341 c.c.)

You can cancel at any time in the dashboard under billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund payments already made, including unused time in a month or year, unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.

7. Your data and your connected sites

• You keep all rights in your data and content. You let us use them to run Citeon for you.
• We may also use aggregated data from how Citeon performs across customers, such as which sources AI assistants cite and what changes after a fix, to improve Citeon, build benchmarks and publish research. It never identifies you, your business or any person, and we only show or publish figures that combine at least five businesses. We do not use your content to train AI models.
• When you connect a website or tool (for example WordPress, Shopify, Google Analytics or Search Console), you authorise us to access it as far as needed for the features you use. We only change your site when you approve the change in Citeon, or when you have asked us to publish certain low-risk content automatically.
• Content and fixes you approve or publish are your responsibility. Check them before they go live.
• How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we will sign a data processing agreement under article 28 GDPR on request.

8. AI answers and AI generated content

Citeon reports what third-party AI systems (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude) answered at a given moment, and uses AI models to analyse those answers and to draft fixes and content. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Scores, suggestions and drafts are aids to your judgement, not advice, and should be reviewed before you rely on or publish them.

9. No guaranteed results

AI assistants are run by other companies and change their answers constantly. We measure and improve the signals they read, but we cannot guarantee that any assistant will mention, cite or recommend your business.

10. Fair use

• Do not misuse, overload or try to break into Citeon or other people’s data.
• Do not use Citeon to break the law or anyone’s rights, or to send spam.
• Do not resell, copy or reverse engineer Citeon, except where the law allows it.

11. Suspension and ending (art. 1341 c.c.)

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts Citeon or others at risk, or stays unpaid. Where possible we warn you first and give you time to fix it. You can stop using Citeon at any time by cancelling (section 6).

12. Availability

We work to keep Citeon available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be free of interruptions or errors, unless we agree a service level with you in writing.

13. Intellectual property

Citeon, its software, design and brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use Citeon while your subscription runs, nothing more.

14. Liability (art. 1341 c.c.)

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost data, nor for what third-party AI systems say. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. These limits do not apply to fraud (dolo) or gross negligence (colpa grave), or where the law does not allow them (article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code).

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we email account owners at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then. The date at the top shows the current version.

16. Law and courts (art. 1341 c.c.)

These terms are governed by Italian law. The court of Latina (Tribunale di Latina), Italy, has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
